Anand Balaji is a Microsoft Certified Professional and Cisco Certified Network Associate and presently working as Network Engineer. He has been working in this University since 2000. He has played a key role in the establishment of UGC Infonet Programme in the University & bringing the University to Rank 1 in State level and 10th in National level in the utilization of e-journals under this programme.

He has conducted awareness programmes in various colleges in accessing e-resources under the UGC Infonet Programme. He has actively contributed to the massive development of the University Informatics Centre in various aspects.

The major projects he involved are DSpace, campus-wide Wireless Network, KHAJANET – the campus-wide network of Khajamalai campus, Digital Library, establishment of computing lab in the University Informatics Centre and in the enrichment of the University’s web central. He has a played a key role in the development of the "Suvadi Katchiyagam" (Manuscript Gallery), Centre for Knowledge Repository and NPTEL Channel @ BDU, Learning Management System (LMS) websites using HTML, CSS, JQuery and PHP.

Prior coming to this University, he has been working as a Lecturer in Mathematics and Computer Application in a reputed college in Tamil Nadu.

He earned his M.Sc., Mathematics, M.S. Information Technology degrees and Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science Applications from Bharathidasan University. His areas of specializations are Computer Networks, Web Application Design/Development and Knowledge Management.
