UGC Instrumentation facility has been functioning from July 2005. This facility was launched in BDU to provide effective and economical services in the repair and maintenance of scientific instruments and electronic hardware. Under this scheme, various Equipments of the University departments and Centres (including University Informatics Centre) have been maintained and repaired if necessary. The technician extends his support in the activities of the University Informatics Centre.

Both Hardware and Software of the University Informatics Centre and all the Departments of Bharathidasan University have been maintained completely by the staff of the UGC-IMF Programme. Mr. T. Kannan has been appointed as the UGC IMF Technician July 2009.
