Firewalls

UIC's hardware and software firewalls allows communication only between trusted devices in order to keep the systems safe by preventing unwanted connections. The firewall controls the network access and reduces the abusive access of networked resources and services.

UIC has implemented WatchGuard security solutions that add greater levels of security, efficiency, performance, and reliability to BDU's network. Firebox e Series firewalls are implemented to ensure that the network has the protection, speed, and agility it needs to keep your business in business. The WatchGuard Firebox X5500e Series firewall security appliances t keeps network traffic moving with up to 2.3 Gbps firewall throughput and 600 Mbps VPN throughput. Application layer content filtering provides strong security out of the box. Robust security subscriptions boost protection in critical attack areas for complete threat management in one integrated solution.

Anti-Virus & Anti-spyware

Anti-Virus & Anti-spyware software enables a safe computing environment by protecting the computers form viruses and other malware. All networked environments are prone to attacks and its very essential to keep them viruses and spyware exploits. Lack of powerful antivirus software will result in loss of data and identity theft. They make machines as a repository of unlawful materials.

UIC licensed Anti-virus software, updates and support for securing the computers and protecting it from viruses and spyware. With proper security updates the computing resources can be protected from viruses or spyware infections.

UIC uses McAfee Active Virus software and Antispyware software for providing protections against today's constantly evolving security threats. It covers desktop, Internet gateway, e-mail servers, and file servers with proven anti-virus protection. It also supports centralized policy management and reporting through McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator.

McAfee Anti-spyware blocks, detects, and cleans potentially unwanted programs (PUPs), including spyware, adware, key loggers, remote administration tools, and other unwanted programs. Daily auto-updates are also provided to keep the systems protected against the latest invasions.
