With the combined effort of UGC ,Government of Tamilnadu and Bharathidasan University, Bharathidasan University Model College (co-education) was started at Aranthangi on 22nd September 2010, The college is mainly meant for rural area and educational backward students . It was started with strength of 166 students enrolled in 3 courses with 11teaching and 5 non-teaching staff under its roof.

Initially the college is functioning in Government Polytechnic Campus, Aranthangi. Permanent building is being constructed in Azhiyanillai Near Aranthangi . For development of the college the UGC sanctioned 2.67 crores and State Government sanctioned 5.33 crores.

College Library

Our college library has been established in the year 2011 and has reasonably good number of books.
