All candidates who applied for admission to six year integrated M.Tech. programs (Bio - Technology, Bio - Informatics, Computer Science Engineering and Geo - Technology & Geo - Informatics) and five year integrated M.Sc. program in 'Animation' (academic year 2009) and appeared for the 'COMMON ENTRANCE TEST 09' conducted on 07.06.2009, are hereby instructed to appear for a COUNSELLING for the admission.

Students will be selected for admission based on the merit list prepared from the marks scored in specific subjects in the plus two or the equivalent examination (converted to 200) (stream 1- Maths 100, Physics 50 & Chemistry 50; stream 2 - Biology 100, Physics 50 & Chemistry 50) and the marks scored in the entrance test (100 marks) (Total : 300 marks ). An additional criterion for the selection will be the communal roaster system of the Govt. of Tamil Nadu.

Selection will further be based on the branch for which the candidate has applied. In case a candidate has applied for two or more branches, the choice expressed at the time of counselling will be taken. The candidates will also have the option to choose between Tamil (30 seats) and English (30 seats) as the medium of instruction in each program of M.Tech.

Those who are not selected based on merit + communal roaster system, shall have the choice of opting for the Merit - Cum - Means (MCM) seat in each branch and medium (5 Seats each).

Students who studied plus two in states other than Tamil Nadu will be admitted against the "OTHER STATE" quota (5 Seats each).

Those who are not selected for the admission against any of the above categories, will be permitted to choose any other branch provided if there is vacancy, at the end, in these branches.

The students and their parents / guardians should bring with them the plus two mark sheet in original, Transfer certificate in original, and the community certificate in original.

Fee should be remitted immediately in the form of a crossed Demand Draft / Pay Order drawn in favour of "Bharathidasan University", payable at Tiruchirappalli. The detail of the fee payable is as below:

There is a branch of State Bank of India in the University campus where the Demand Draft or Pay Order can be obtained. The amount of fee will depend upon the category (Tamil / English medium; Subsidised / Merit Cum Means, etc.)

Request for change of date or the grace time to remit the fees will not at all be entertained.

Please be it noted that the candidate's mere presence at the counselling does not ensure admission. The few who may not be admitted should be prepared to reconcile to the reality.

The candidates, after the admission, shall have the option to seek admission for the university hostel, for which the approximate amount to be paid shall be Rs.--------------
