Photogrammetry Lab
The Photogrammetry was a well established technology in the field of remote sensing and GIS. The ultimate use of Photogrammetry was to generate Ortho-rectified Satellite data and planimetrically controlled toposheets. Our Photogrammetric lab consists of highly equipped fine Photogrammetry systems which are all installed with Leica Photogrammetric suite. The Photogrammetry analysis. Using high resolution and stereographic derived from Multiple sources such as satellite data derived from multiple sources such as stereo aerial images, airborne Lidar data, etc., we can generate contour map, DEM, DTM and prepare urban planning map, Road map, sewage line map, etc which are used to know the 3-dimensional model for the area of interest. It is an important tool to create highly detailed Digital surface models and eventually Digital city models.

Spectra Lab
Continuous EMR spectra in nanometers rangeing from 350-2500 nm for all Rocks and Minerals are studied by their spectral properties using measured precisely and and analyzed using digital SVC HR1024 spectroradio metr facility established in this lab. Spectral library for important mineral occurrences in Tamilnadu have already been generated through various research studis by M.Tech Students and through Research and Development projects funded by National & International agencies.

Microscopic Lab
Mineral thin sections are studied enthusiastically by our students by utilizing this microscopic lab facility in shift mode. The students are attached to this lab which is having both polarizing and ore microscope facilities showcasing the optical properties of minerals and rocks.

Petrological Lab
The real appearance of rocks and minerals portrayed by this lab creates much interest and quenches the students practical queries raised during theory classes with many models made of acrylic and wooden materials depicting crystal structures, ancillary equipments for testing minerals, etc. this lab has more attraction among student’s community.
