The Department of Chemical
Technology was established in the year 1999 to cater to
the global demands of qualified technical manpower in the
areas of Chemical technology. The highly qualified
and dedicated faculty imparts high quality education to
the students and trains them to tackle any kind of industrial
problems to meet the rapidly changing needs of the process
industries.
The
course is structured to specialize in Chemical Technology
together with an exposure in chemical technology. The syllabus
is formulated in its own style of Bharathidasan University
to tackle any kind of industrial problems and to meet the
rapidly changing needs of process industries and research
organizations. Qualified faculty members recruited as per
AICTU norms facilitate learning process.
The department provides from June 2005 B.Tech programme in the
following disciplines:
* Cement Technology (30 seats)
* Paper and Pulp Technology (30 seats)
* Fertilizer Technology (30 seats)
* Petrochemical Technology (30 seats)
