On behalf of the University community, I welcome the viewers to the website of Bharathidasan University. This website gives you an overview of the University’s campuses, colleges, courses and articulates many of the reasons why Bharathidasan University is justly renowned nationally and internationally.

Established in 1982, and gradually blossoming into an Institution of great eminence, Bharathidasan University is very much like the Tiruchirappalli region itself: like the surrounding cities, it is a large, multicultural community with a great number of opportunities and resources. The Mission and Vision of our University is to contribute to Society through the pursuit of knowledge and patronage of quality education and thereby promoting and ensuring excellence in Higher Education. As an integral part of this endeavor, the University has also plans to disseminate knowledge and encourage learning in the districts of jurisdiction and thus make a significant contribution towards social and economic growth.

In our knowledge-based age, higher education has become essential for our prosperity and quality of life.
