R. Padmanaban
System Administrator
Padmanaban, an avid Linux enthusiast, joined Bharathidasan University in 1988. He has provided computational support to various research activities of the research scholars and Faculty members around 14 years. He has been instrumental in establishing the campus wide fiber optic network backbone and BDU's wireless network. He has played a key role in initiating the automation of the CDE (Centre for Distance Education). In 2009, he became the System Administrator. As system administrator, he manages and controls DNS, Web, Mail, IMAP and Proxy servers in Linux Platforms.
He acquired his Masters in Computer Applications. He also holds an M. Tech. in Advanced Information Technology. His prime areas of interest are Computer Networks, Cluster Computing and Parallel Programming.
