1. Please go through the interview schedule that is planned to be conducted on 23^rd and 24^th, September 2024 at the Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli.

2. The interviews will be conducted at Khajamalai campus and Palkalaiperur campus.
i. Khajamalai campus is situated about 3 km from the Central Bus Stand/Railway Station and 1 km from TVS Toll Gate / Manarpuram Rountana. The campus is adjacent to the Government Law College and Thanthai Periyar Government Arts and Science College.
ii. Palkalaiperur campus, the main campus, is situated about 17 km from the Central Bus Stand/ Railway Station on Pudukkottai Highways. To reach the Palkalaiperur campus, you can take bus routes numbered K1, RSH, VMT, 63A, or 63C or buses directed towards Keeranur / Pudukkottai / Karaikudi.

3. Ensure to reach the respective venue well in advance of the time of the interview.

4. Candidates who fail to appear for the interview will not be considered for final selection.

5. The interview carries a weightage of 30 marks. The objective of the interview is to evaluate your skills in the following categories.
i. Subject knowledge expertise (15 Marks)
ii. Research aptitude (10 Marks)
iii. Communication skills (5 Marks).

Subject knowledge expertise: Your subject knowledge assessment shall be based on your post-graduate level subject matter expertise. Prepare yourself with at least 3 subjects of greater relevance you have mastered in post-graduate studies.
Research aptitude: You will be evaluated for your understanding of the concepts of the research process. You will be required to explain your post-graduate or undergraduate dissertation or an internship that you undertook. In addition, you should be able to briefly explain your area of interest in Ph.D. We encourage you to share a couple of research questions that have prompted you to pursue a Ph.D. Do not fail to share research papers (if any) that have been published during your post-graduation. You should be also aware of the basic skills that are necessary to conduct research. Communication skills: How you express yourself and your ideas is important. Hence ensure that your answers are brief to the point. You should be able to express and convince the interviewer about your strong will to pursue your Ph.D.

6. The interview time for each candidate shall be 10-15 minutes.

7. Candidates are advised to bring their undergraduate/postgraduate dissertations, if any, while appearing for the interview.

8. Please bring any one of your Identity Cards (Ex. AADHAAR / PAN,...)

9. DO NOT BRING any of your mark sheets or certificates.

10. NO TRAVEL ALLOWANCE will be provided for attending the interview.
