Salient Features

Faculty Eminent Scholars, corporate professionals and Distinguished Visiting faculty will form the core of teaching and Practical sessions. Besides, innovative teaching through domain and industry experts is adopted to attain high Benchmark in management techniques.

Career Guidance and Placement Cell The Bharathidasan University has an Employment / Placement and Career Guidance Cell which was started a few years ago. Since, most of the Schools and Departments in the university motivate their students towards research, a majority of the students who complete their Post-Graduate studies take up a research career after their programme of study. To facilitate this, the students obtain proper guidance during the final year of their study from their respective project supervisors. Students, who are interested in pursuing higher studies other than research, are guided by the faculty members in the Department. The students who undertake their project work during the final semester of their study in institutions and industries outside the university are mostly absorbed by them upon completion of their programme of study. Therefore, only a small proportion of the students is really interested in participating in the open recruitment process. To facilitate the placement process further, the university has nominated a few faculty members from different Departments as liaison persons to the Employment / Placement Cell.

University Placement and Training Cell

Hostel To accommodate the outstation students, there are eight Hostels, for men and women separately, with modern kitchen and dining facilities in the Campus. The hostel rooms are provided with fans, good lighting, adequate water facility, recreation centre, playing ground, newspapers and magazines. Each hostel is provided with a television and cable connectivity. Similarly, all the hostels have Wi-Fi facility and thereby the students can access internet from their respective rooms using their lap-tops. The hostels are provided with a good hygienic cooking facility and spacious dinning halls.

Library The University Library is separately located in a multi-storyed building in the main campus and is well furnished with all resources including e-library resources. The number of books, journals and periodicals are updated every year. The library is providing reprographic facilities for the benefit of students and research scholars. The library is kept open throughout the year [except on five national holidays] from 8 am to 8 pm.

Wi-Fi & Computing Facility The University main campus has wi-fi facility. Besides, the Informatics Centre provides access to students for computing facility.

Sports The sports infrastructure includes a good gymnasium with multi-gym facilities and yoga centre, an indoor stadium for table tennis, chess, carom, weight lifting and power lifting. The University also has a standard 400 metre athletic track with the facility to conduct all the field events.

Other Facilities The University's Central Library, Administrative Building, the Sports Complex, Bank, Post Office, Canteen, Health Centre, Staff Quarters, Guest House etc., are all located in the main campus.
