The Centre signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in collaboration with Forty Four specialized Institutions / Hospitals / Colleges to offer various off-campus courses
The Centre signed Six Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in collaboration with the following five industries / Companies for Technology transfer / Material transfer.
National Facility for Marine Cyanobacteria (NFMC) laid down a Memorandum of Understanding on 02nd November 2001 with M/S.ABL Biotechnologies Limited, Chennai to transfer three commercial technologies along with the propriety of the microbe developed by the NFMC for a lump sum payment of Rs. 50 lakhs in phases and a royalty of 1% over the value of commercial product.
8th September 2003 , a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with M/S. Dalmia Cement (Bharath) Limited, Dalmiapuram for Remote Sensing and Hydrological study of the Dalmia Cement Factory and its mines as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Environment & Forests (MOEF) and Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) confined to the 10 km radius around each mine and plant as Consultancy Project by the Department of Geology.
National Facility for Marine Cyanobacteria (NFMC) and University of Madras, Chennai laid down a Memorandum of Understanding on 9th September 2004 with M/S.ABL Biotechnologies Limited, Chennai to transfer the antiviral composition from the Cyanobacterial strain formulated by the National Facility for Marine Cyanobacteria for a lump sum payment of Rs.10 lakhs in phases and a royalty of 2% over the value of commercial product or 5% of the revenue accruing to ABL will be shared equally the University of Madras, Chennai and Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli.
28th September 2004 , a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with Salem City Corporation, Salem and National Remote Sensing Agency, Hyderabad to extend their consultancy services for executing customized municipal GIS software by the Department of Geology.
National Facility for Marine Cyanobacteria (NFMC) and Nicholas Pirmal India limited , Mumbai laid down a Memorandum of Understanding (Confidentiality Agreement) on 17th September 2005 for R&D linkage with NFMC.
MOU / Agreement entered on 5th September 2007 by Dr. S. Muthusamy, Professor of Chemistry of this University with E.I. Du.Pont company, U.S.A for material transfer and Biological testing in collaboration with BDU-BDC.
Achievements Other Consultancy Services offered:
Basic Hematology, Biochemistry and Serology tests such as Blood Grouping & RH Typing, TC, DC, ESR, Hemoglobin, Sugar (Random), Anti HIV 1 an HIV 2 etc., by Bio Medical Diagnostic Laboratory of BDC, BDU.
Water Quality Testing and Analysis entrusted by Public Works Department (PWD), Water Resource Division (WRD), Environmental Cell Sub Division, Karur, Government of Tamil Nadu were undertaken by Dr. R. Mohanraj, Associate Professor, Department of Environmental Management, BDU, Tiruchirappalli.
Air Quality Impacting Testing and Analysis of Sand quarries entrusted by Water Resources Divisions of Public Works Department (PWD), Water Resource Division, Marudaiyaru Basin Division, Ariyalur, Government of Tamil Nadu were undertaken by Dr. R. Mohanraj, Associate Professor, Department of Environmental Management, BDU, Tiruchirappalli.
