Future Plans

Teaching Programmes

The Central Workshop will continue to offer the following teaching programmes.

• Diploma in Machine Operator
• Diploma in Laboratory Glasswares
• Basic computer aided drafting and glass blowing practice(Non major elective)
• Workshop Practice (Non major elective)

Training Programmes

• The Central Workshop will offer new short term special training programmes (1month/2month/3month)on Turner, milling, welding, Glass blowing training and Auto CAD  to M.Sc. students and Researchers both from inside and outside the University.
• For resource mobilization the central facility will offer training to employees in industries on payment basis thus establishing a link between University and industries.
• The facility will offer use other employees in industries on payment basis on the basis of  MOU.



Designing and Fabrication of equipment and Glasswares

The central Workshop will undertake design and fabrication of equipment required for the ongoing research for the science department of the University, which are not otherwise available in the open market at a reduced cost.

All kinds of glassware as per requirements can be design and fabricated as required for teaching and research in the University.




Modernisation of the Workshop

The Workshop will be modernized by adding computer controlled machines and new designing of objects.




Conversion into a Central Instrumentation facility

It is very essential to have a Central instrumentation facility to meet the needs of the university departments. Efforts will be taken to upgrade the Central Workshop in to a central instrumentation facility.
